The Heli Ambulance Team or HAT is a subsidiary of the Helikopter Air Transport GesmbH who is also the owner of all helicopters of the Christophorus Flugrettungsverein. During winter 3 additional bases are manned with helicopter and crew to assure assures the rescue helicopter logistics at high frequented ski-resorts.

The additional helicopters are operated during winter season from December to April. The helicopters bases are in Patergassen ( Alpin 1), Sölden (Alpin 2) and Hintertux (Alpin 5). The last one Alpin6 got its own hangar at the airfield Zell am See and was built by the ÖAMTC. In 2004 ÖAMTC and SHS Helicopter converted this location to a full-time deployment base. Due to this change the call sign was renamed to Alpin Heli 6. As a countermove the base in Waidring of Heli 1 was changed to winter season base.
All the machines of HAT are Helicopters of the type Eurocopter EC 135.

The HAT was founded in 2001 by the Christophorus Flugrettungsverein and Wucher Helicopter from Vorarlberg. End of 2016 the cooperation was canceled. Therefore the former base of Alpin3 is now operated by Wucher Helicopter alone which also resulted in a change of the call sign. Alpin 3 is now reachable over radio as “Gallus 3”.
